Night Nurse Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Night Nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To forge an open and honest culture;
- To maintain adequate and safe staff levels within area of agreed budget and planned skill mix;
- To work within BMC policy and procedure;
- Administering medication;
- To inform Nurse Manager of variations within patient care which affect, or may affect, or endanger safe, competent practice;
- To ensure regular training in fire, resuscitation, moving and handling, and health and safety;
- Being responsible for ordering, storing and administering medication;
- To maintain a safe environment which meets Health and Safety requirements and to report any hazards or potential hazards;
- Work to NMC and CQC guidelines and regulations;
- Produce individual care plans;
- To report to Nurse Manager any complaints relating to professional misconduct or incapacity;
- Maintain accurate records;
- To be aware of recent research;
- Training and development of the staff;
- To provide training for Care Assistants.
Requirements:
- First and foremost we are looking for a positive and caring nurse who is passionate about working as part of a team to provide quality care;
- Any specialist experience of Palliative / Dementia care welcomed;
- RGN with current NMC registration. Would consider applicants who required reaccreditation;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Previous experience working as a staff nurse or registered nurse in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential;
- A committed and organised approach;
- A nurse qualification (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC pin number;
- Flexible to work shifts.
