Our company is looking for a Night Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To forge an open and honest culture;
  • To maintain adequate and safe staff levels within area of agreed budget and planned skill mix;
  • To work within BMC policy and procedure;
  • Administering medication;
  • To inform Nurse Manager of variations within patient care which affect, or may affect, or endanger safe, competent practice;
  • To ensure regular training in fire, resuscitation, moving and handling, and health and safety;
  • Being responsible for ordering, storing and administering medication;
  • To maintain a safe environment which meets Health and Safety requirements and to report any hazards or potential hazards;
  • Work to NMC and CQC guidelines and regulations;
  • Produce individual care plans;
  • To report to Nurse Manager any complaints relating to professional misconduct or incapacity;
  • Maintain accurate records;
  • To be aware of recent research;
  • Training and development of the staff;
  • To provide training for Care Assistants.

Requirements:

  • First and foremost we are looking for a positive and caring nurse who is passionate about working as part of a team to provide quality care;
  • Any specialist experience of Palliative / Dementia care welcomed;
  • RGN with current NMC registration. Would consider applicants who required reaccreditation;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Previous experience working as a staff nurse or registered nurse in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential;
  • A committed and organised approach;
  • A nurse qualification (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC pin number;
  • Flexible to work shifts.
