Our company is looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular communication with the Home Manager;
  • Medication administration;
  • Assisting with activities of daily living and domestic duties;
  • Creating and maintaining suitable records;
  • Act as Senior Health Care Assistant which will include staff supervisions;
  • Assisting in the delivery of personal care;
  • Communicate effectively;
  • Ensure health, safety and welfare of clients;
  • Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures;
  • Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care;
  • Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries;
  • Administering medication;
  • Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation;
  • Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals;
  • Contributing to care planning and coaching care assistants.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months full-time or equivalent leading a staff team/ shifts in a residential care setting with older people;
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or Level 2 and willing to work towards Level 3);
  • A warm approachable personality;
  • It is essential that any applicants have previous experience working within this area;
  • It would be beneficial if the candidate has a portable DBS;
  • Safe Handling of Medication experience;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent (or be willing to work towards);
  • Various shift patterns available.
