Trade Compliance Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, management and reporting of any actions required in order to achieve improved compliance within the function and other departments;
- Experience with Export licence applications using the UK Government SPIRE application;
- Import and Export knowledge as it relates to working with Freight Forwarders and HMRC;
- Knowledge of Incoterms and how they influence contractual obligations;
- Core knowledge of the UK Export Control legislation and processes;
- Understanding of Exporter and Importer of Record obligations;
- Knowledge of US Export Regulations such as ITAR and EAR and an understanding how these have an impact on business.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Must be eligible to gain SC Clearance;
- Proven experience within a Trade Compliance / Customs Compliance role;
- Understanding of UK & US licensing procedures – HMRC & ITAR/EAR.
