Our company is looking for a Legal Executive to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and managing legal documents;
  • Amending planning permissions to remove or vary problematic conditions;
  • Understand the local property market for each property – ensure each property is ready for sale and reaches the market in the shortest time possible;
  • Company disputes;
  • Helping more junior members of the team with development and training;
  • Corresponding with external solicitor firms;
  • Assisting the solicitor who is supervising you when required;
  • Ensuring all relevant property costs and taxes are paid and documents / receipts are received and in order;
  • Exposure to major clients and stakeholders;
  • Supporting the recoveries department;
  • Manage Offer and Sale Closure processes;
  • Drafting and agreeing amendments to previously agreed legal documents such as Section 106 Agreements and Transfers;
  • Negotiating and varying problematic registered restrictions on Land Registry titles;
  • Managing your own caseload from start to finish and assisting junior members of the team;
  • Helping to revise any planning permissions and negotiating registered restrictions on Land Registry titles.

Requirements:

  • Competent with the entire Microsoft package;
  • Ability to liaise with multiple third parties;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Proven experience in commercial property is desirable;
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
  • Ability to work to deadlines;
  • Sound judgement and good initiative;
  • Litigation experience would be an advantage;
  • Technical excellence and a flair for business development;
  • Experience as a Solicitor, ideally working closely with private clients;
  • Fully mobile with access to transport;
  • Two years relevant public sector experience;
  • 2 year’s previous experience working in the area of property;
  • Administration experience desirable;
  • Competent research skills.
