Our company is looking for a Admissions Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post, as may be required from time to time;
  • Assisting with the administration of the Children Missing Education legislation notices, and signposting to the Education Welfare Team as required;
  • Liaising with the RBWM Customer Contact Centre to facilitate an effective working relationship;
  • Assisting with the operation of the authority’s Fair Access Protocol, including attendance at panel meetings where required;
  • Assisting and deputising for the Senior Admissions Officers as necessary;
  • Receiving, managing and drafting of replies to incoming correspondence relating to admissions from all parties;
  • Database management;
  • Assisting the authority in its delivery of the statutory duty to provide a school place for all RBWM children of school age;
  • Maximizing enquiries generated;
  • Be proactive to build, maintain and strengthen relationships;
  • To assist the Team Leader for School Admissions and Senior Admissions Officers to ensure delivery of the wider team functions;
  • Work closely with professionals to over see additional processes;
  • Attend business events (some travel may be required);
  • Meet/exceed the annual targets;
  • Communicate with clients clearly to show their needs can be met.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Effective interpersonal skills;
  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills;
  • Computer literacy skills inclusive of competence with Outlook;
  • Experience in a process driven, customer focused environment;
  • Ability to follow process;
  • Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of task demands.
