BIM Coordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining models and systems;
- Monitoring and adhering to project and company standards;
- Project Setup;
- The production of “As Built” drawings and input to Operational & Maintenance File;
- Experience coordinating live projects in a BIM L2 environment, using Naviswork and highlighting any clashes to relevant consultants;
- Comply with Company BIM and CAD Standards;
- Support upkeep of facility “Under Configuration Control” drawings;
- Comply with company Health and Safety and Safe Systems of Work regulations;
- Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies;
- Provide BIM models and drawings to support the BE Current Facilities;
- Production of CAD models and drawings as instructed by BE CAD/ BIM Manager or customer;
- To analyse the potential changes (change management) required and its impact on existing development, business and department;
- To take ownership of agreed personal project objectives, timelines and deadlines;
- Control and allocation of appropriate resources to meet project requirements;
- Production of project and proposal drawings as directed by project engineers.
Requirements:
- Experience in delivering projects to BIM standards with validation and QA processes;
- Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle;
- Initiative and proactive working methodology;
- Understanding of BIM in design and construction phases and of using the Digital Plan of Works;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Familiarity with Common Data Environment practices is beneficial;
- Experience of managing the challenges associated with multi-disciplinary teams;
- Educated to HNC or higher;
- Knowledge and experience of legacy CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Experience with large scale/complex projects is beneficial;
- Ideally educated to HNC level or above, although primarily looking for experience;
- Ideally a masters in BIM Management;
- Demonstrable experience providing and manage a BIM service to external customers;
- Educated to HNC or equivalent.
