Facilities Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the allocation, upkeep and usability of project rooms, ensuring efficient turnover of resources;
- Monitoring, maintenance, storing and arranging repair/replacement of fixtures, fittings and office equipment;
- Liaising with the in-house Caterer to ensure delivery of daily cold in-house buffet lunch (and other occasional basic catering requirements);
- Training and supervision of temporary catering assistants when required;
- Safely transporting patients;
- Liaise with partner agencies and services providing advice and guidance;
- To collate receipts and complete expense sheets for TV Ops Petty Cash and submit to finance;
- Maintain a computerised monthly budget system for Facilities;
- Ensuring the security of the school site;
- Problem solving, and employing ad-hoc solutions where possible;
- Ensure that office equipment, building maintenance and health and safety requirements are met;
- Provide reception cover during holidays/absence;
- Ensuring the maintenance/appearance of the school buildings and grounds meet with the required standards;
- Removing clinical waste;
- Assist in the procurement, maintenance and storage of materials and equipment.
Requirements:
- Fixing, painting, electrics etc;
- Able to work effectively both as part of a team and on an individual basis;
- Must be prepared for a fast paced and ever-changing challenge;
- Productive and self-motivated;
- Upbeat, positive and diplomatic;
- Reacts positively to change and remains resilient even when under considerable pressure;
- Food Hygiene Certification;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Behaves in a professional and respectful manner at all times;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- IOSH qualified;
- Communicate accurately, concisely and in a timely manner, whilst demonstrating effective listening;
- Highly flexible and adaptable;
- Has a positive attitude to self-development and can instill that attitude in others;
- Safeguarding exercise.
