Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.

Our company is looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting on contractual agreements, invoicing, negotiating and meeting with suppliers;
  • Managing contractual relationships both internally and externally;
  • To ensure a high level of customer service and perform duties in a consistent, accurate, timely and effective manner in keeping with “Priority” KPIs;
  • Support the wider team in best practice;
  • manage all relevant contractors activities;
  • Carry out audits on maintenance programmes;
  • Deliver, control and monitor small capital projects, minor works, relocations and alterations to meet with occupational demands of business;
  • Review energy, water and other utilities to keep abreast of technical advances and opportunities to make energy savings;
  • Lead, develop, manage and motivate a high performing team;
  • Occasionally oversee maintenance of the office space during off-hours and weekends;
  • coordinate and project manage any refurbishments, space planning, renovations to the fabric of the office and internal office moves;
  • All surveys detailing work requirement are detailed and up-to-date;
  • Accountability for on-site provisions;
  • Lead the property maintenance function in both the internal and external aspects of the buildings, amenities, common areas, public realm and grounds;
  • Identifying and implementing training needs.

Requirements:

  • IWFM Level Certificate 4 or equivalent is mandatory;
  • Demonstration of strong customer relationship management and customer service ethos;
  • Critical engineering management;
  • British Safety Standard training, COSHH or Nebosh qualifications CSCS or similar AIRPM;
  • Membership of WIFM, IFMA or equivalent;
  • Ability to manage and supervise contractors on day to day activities and manage/assess job priorities;
  • Complete checks of works and sign off accordingly;
  • Ability to prepare and manage tender documents and specification of work;
  • Ability to communicate a wide range of standard information, both written and in a style appropriate to the audience;
  • Ability to coordinate contractors in delivering projects to a satisfactory completion and on programme;
  • Facilities Management Qualification – Level 4 minimum or similar BTEC/HND in Facilities Management;
  • Strong experience in commercial property facilities management;
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified;
  • Support the wider team in best practice;
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and implement change at all levels and work effectively cross-functionally.
