Our company is looking for a Finance Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts;
  • Data analysis and cross checking;
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems;
  • Providing financial management information;
  • Foreign Currency payments;
  • Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer and supplier;
  • The ability to react positively to changing workloads and priorities;
  • To deliver the Council’s equality and diversity priorities;
  • General maintenance of the company’s credit cards (“Pleo”);
  • Communicate with all stakeholders in an effective, efficient and professional manner;
  • Banking cheque from customers/suppliers;
  • Supporting the finance manager;
  • Processing journals for recharging other council departments;
  • Confirming payment of invoices in the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Ledgers;
  • Manage all direct debit payments.

Requirements:

  • always met and the ability to produce quality work with minimum supervision;
  • High numeracy and technical skills;
  • Good telephone manner;
  • Excellent analytical ability with a good attention to detail;
  • Previous experience in a busy corporate role;
  • Experience of Quickbooks/Sage accounting systems;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook);
  • Good accurate administrative skills;
  • Advanced MS Excel skills;
  • HND or Degree qualified in related discipline;
  • Good time management skills, ability to prioritise workload and ability to work to strict reporting deadlines;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Experience large volume balance sheet reconciliations.
