Floor Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Floor Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Abide with legislative instructions with regards to sale, and trading standards opening and closing restrictions;
- Plan effective rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels during all trading hours and staffing costs are in line with budget;
- Opening and closing of the Cass Art store and any secured area of the store when required;
- Manage the day to day running of the shop floor;
- Carry out with care, cash handling procedures: i.e. petty cash, banking procedures, cash in transit, night safe, safe logs and cash storage;
- Maintain vigilance at all times, to help minimise any potential theft and stock loss, task your team with loss prevention;
- Report any customer service or staffing issues which are affecting the business;
- Promote and maintain customer service standards-welcome customers;
- Assume duty management responsibility including Store opening and closure;
- Utilise all company initiatives and incentives to drive sales performance and store standards;
- Champion the rest of the team to achieve and exceed sales targets set;
- Maintain merchandising and housekeeping standards within the shop;
- Process refunds and exchanges in line with the company policy.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proven ability to show previously exceeded sales targets;
- Engaging, with an ability to coach and lead a busy store;
- Experienced leader within a retail environment;
- Passionate about retail and the mission of Cass Art;
- Self-driven and results orientated;
- Customer service experience;
- Energy and enthusiasm;
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
- Affinity with the Cass Art brands and products;
- Ability to work autonomously;
- Numerate and analytical;
- Friendly, enthusiastic and a great sense of humour;
- Highly organised and motivated;
- Organised with excellent time management skills.
