Head of Financial Control Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of Financial Control to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, develop and train finance staff;
- All aspects of tax (Corporation, PAYE, and VAT) returns for the group;
- Challenge the business where necessary with regard to revenue recognition IFRS15 and IFRS 9;
- Treasury management and cash flow forecasting;
- Co-ordinate the annual budget and quarterly forecasts;
- Ability to develop and improve both systems and processes;
- Strong technical awareness and understand recent changes in UK GAAP and IFRS;
- Essential management experience is needed;
- In-depth knowledge of statutory accounts production;
- Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA;
- Be the internal expert for IFRS & FRS guidance, ensuring accounting policies are robust, communicated and applied;
- Maintain a strong focus on working capital and cashflow management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting;
- Manage group consolidation reporting;
- Develop and maintain a strong internal controls and review framework;
- Prepare accounting papers to support internal practices, and liaise with external auditors to ratify this.
Requirements:
- Advanced Excel;
- Significant financial/technical accounting experience;
- Qualified Accountant;
- Media or related sector experience would be highly advantageous;
- Strong IFRS experience;
- Able to work in a fast paced environment;
- ACCA;
- ACA;
- Reporting.
