Our company is looking for a Lettings Client Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tenant payment details are compliant with the requirements of the Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme;
  • Managing the database, updating with new tenancy details and responding to any queries generated;
  • Dealing with deposits returns and deregistering;
  • Process relevant payments as and when required;
  • Monitoring outstanding rent amounts;
  • Building and maintaining trusting relationships with landlords;
  • Ensuring all tasks are performed in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Investigation into lettings accounts queries and taking relevant action;
  • Receiving and acting on instruction from Property Management and front office for processing deposit return payments to outgoing tenants;
  • Check the company’s internal coordinator system throughout the working day for queries that require action;
  • Understanding of overseas landlords tax;
  • Import new tenancy details into the company’s accounting system to facilitate the efficient and timely processing of rent;
  • Chasing rent arrears;
  • Liaise with landlords, tenants and branches.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years previous client accounting experience;
  • Attention to detail is vital;
  • Finance background or experience in a similar role;
  • Lettings Property market experience and knowledge;
  • Confident in delivering excellent customer service;
  • Knowledge with CFP software;
  • Knowledge of residential property practices (e.g deposit releases, fee refunds, break clauses, rent calculations etc;
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to work;
  • Good Excel skills;
  • Outstanding organisational skills;
  • Keen to learn and develop;
  • Proactive and adaptable in nature;
  • Ability to deal with clients and senior colleagues via email and over the telephone.
