Our company is looking for a National Account Executive to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Business Manager to create and nurture Customer Account Plans including promotional activity and new product introductions;
  • Forecasting – responsible for accurate forecasting at SKU level by interpreting data & working closely with Account Managers;
  • Support with Product Management – launches, current product portfolio & delists;
  • Manage a defined portfolio of key customer client groups with the wider account;
  • Instore implementation support for; promotions, new launches, impulse activity (store visits, reporting, feedback), co-ordinating field merchandising;
  • Attend internal gate meetings & support with commercial inputs;
  • Attend customer meetings;
  • Working with the Category Insight Manager reporting on the latest developments and trends within the category;
  • Manage price and promotions for numerous stock items, ensuring that business profitability and growth meets any set targets;
  • Identify potential brand strategy, whilst understanding current consumer trends and highlighting any potential areas for business growth;
  • Track bespoke stock value and ensure products are sold within agreed timescales;
  • Working closely with the Supply Chain team through forecasting and delivery;
  • Building and managing strong relationships;
  • Knowledge of customers in the wider food retail and catering industry;
  • Utilising internal trackers, retailer data and excel to analyse product performance, range performance, unearth trends and competitor benchmarking.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with clients;
  • Previous experience with FMCG would be beneficial;
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs is desirable;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail;
  • Technical food knowledge would be beneficial;
  • Experience with SAP software, Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory is beneficial;
  • A full UK licence holder would be desirable;
  • Previous experience of a multi-site organisation is beneficial but not crucial;
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints;
  • The skill of flexibly working in a team / independently;
  • Degree level in business or finance, or other relevant subject is preferred.
