Our company is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Outdoor play;
  • Light cleaning duties and helping to prepare snacks;
  • Nappy changes and toilet training;
  • Employ the highest standard of support in the nursery;
  • Make accurate and effective use of assessment reflecting the needs, interests and stages of development of the individual children;
  • Carrying out age appropriate activities while maintaining a safe and fun environment for the children;
  • The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child’s stage of development;
  • Work alongside members of staff;
  • Providing comfort and warmth to an ill child;
  • Having excellent communication skills and the ability to be a strong team player;
  • Working with small groups of children;
  • Deliver learning opportunities to help and develop the children;
  • Supporting educational, social and emotional development of young children;
  • Washing and changing children as required;
  • Liaising with nursery management and parents about the care the children have received.

Requirements:

  • Have a minimum Level 3 or above In Early Years / Childcare or equivalent;
  • Relevant skills for working with children aged 0 – 5 years;
  • NNEB * BTEC Nat Dip * CACHE Dip in Childcare * NVQ level 3 *SVQ Level 3;
  • An unrivalled dedication to childcare;
  • Enhanced DBS check;
  • Level 3 childcare qualification;
  • Cache Level 3 in Childcare (Preferred);
  • Have a caring and friendly nature;
  • Relevant training e.g. first aid, safeguarding and basic food hygiene – desirable but not essential;
  • Be able to work full time, shift pattern all year round;
  • Nursery Practitioners will be reqired to go through an Enhanced Childcare DBS;
  • Team player with good communication skills;
  • Evidence of Childcare qualification (at least NVQ 2/3);
  • A valid form of photo ID (such as a passport);
  • Cache level 2 in Childcare (Preferred).
