Our company is looking for a Production Shift Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Approve production schedules issued by Supply Chain and manages changes to plan as required;
  • Point of contact across site;
  • Responsible for delivering products to the value of ~£30mio/yr;
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate escalation to senior management;
  • Manage all KPI’s across the production including safety, quality, service level, efficiency’s etc;
  • Use and improve production systems and processes;
  • Ability to drive Short Interval Control and maximise outputs and efficiency’s;
  • Ensure factory maintains the highest level of GMP;
  • Drive site change and performance;
  • Ensure all employees adhere to the company Health and Safety policy;
  • Manage process, projects and KPI’s;
  • Liaise with all other departments as appropriate to ensure the efficient running of the operations department;
  • Manage and drive a team of operators to ensure maximum performance;
  • Manage production team in line with company HR policies and Training guidelines;
  • Overall Shift responsibility for the management of you people, processes and plant to achieve operational goals.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in a management position in FMCG or Regulated Manufacturing;
  • Strong IT, Numerously and Literacy skills;
  • Attention to details and a confident decision maker;
  • An understanding of LEAN and Process Improvement techniques would be an advantage;
  • Ability to work calmly and logically through challenges that may arise;
  • Experienced leader and driver of performance, change, process and people;
  • Experience and understanding of lean manufacturing – 5S, Kaizen etc;
  • Strong attitude towards health and safety and hold IOSH or NEBOSH qualification;
  • Manufacturing and Engineering background and understanding;
  • Ability to influence and solve problems.
