Our company is looking for a Regional Business Development Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve awareness of the company throughout targeted areas, identifying short and long term potentials and avenues of growth;
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of regulations and standards relevant for installing glass rooflights;
  • Collecting and communicating customer requirements to all necessary departments;
  • Meet and exceed targets and KPIs as set out by the Head of Sales and Company Directors;
  • Develop strong and professional customer relationships, providing technical customer support, as necessary;
  • Proactively develop new business opportunities in the assigned sales area;
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of any marketing campaigns;
  • To ensure the Company’s quality procedures are followed;
  • Managing assigned accounts in own region as specified by the Head of Sales;
  • Devising annual business plans and goals with each account and maintaining relationships;
  • To proactively develop introductions for direct business, including from agents;
  • To provide market intelligence to Senior Management and the Product Development Committee;
  • To maintain full and accurate records of all business development activity, intermediary contact and resulting business;
  • To prepare, maintain, review and develop a database of mortgage intermediaries in designated geographic area;
  • To proactively develop introduced mortgage business from a designated geographic area and achieve agreed targets and activity levels.

Requirements:

  • Incredible ability to develop immediate business through current client contacts;
  • CV demonstrating employment recognised Industrial companies or related products / industries which share common procurement within client companies;
  • Commercially savvy;
  • Ability to work closely with others in the sales office as well as Head of Sales;
  • Strong IT skills, especially the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Thorough understanding of margin criteria;
  • Experience and understanding of our industry (or similar industry) would be highly advantageous;
  • Ability to work remotely and manage own workload;
  • Strong and proven track record of closing deals and meeting targets in a similar focused environment;
  • Excellent written and reporting skills;
  • Ability to evaluate strength of leads to maintain clear and realistic pipeline;
  • Sophisticated, confident sales and presentation style;
  • Specialist mortgage experience essential, with a good understanding of the UK Financial Services environment;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Previous experience in a Business Development Manager role.
