Senior Development Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Development Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee legal contracts that include land assembly, development, Joint Venture and construction agreements;
- Liaise with local authority planners and submit planning applications and ensure the planning conditions are met;
- Ensure any legal restrictions and covenants are adhered to;
- Appoint external consultants;
- Monitor budgets and do financial reporting and submit to the board;
- Visit sites to review development strategies;
- Close out planning conditions for hotel schemes that are already in the pipeline;
- Agree a development brief specific to the needs of each scheme;
- Assemble external team to deliver design for planning submissions;
- Make sure design is economic and practical to build. No unnecessary design features which increase costs but do not increase rents;
- Negotiate S106 agreements;
- Feasibility studies;
- As the Senior Development Manager you will be responsible for both leading a team and delivering projects of your own;
- Reporting into the Head of Development, you will assist them in delivering their development programme;
- To maintain good co-operative working relationships with the Greater London Authority, Homes England, local authorities, other Associations etc.
Requirements:
- Experience with various project management toolsets; jira, Hansoft, etc. knowledge is helpful.
