SEO Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a SEO Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform competitor research and benchmarking and conduct keyword research, analysis and audits;
- Recommend changes to website architecture, linking and other factors to improve SEO;
- Website CMS experience with best practise rollout to improve SEO;
- Owning SEO best practice and Multi devise Strategy;
- Owning the implementation and management of the website SEO Technical, onsite and offsite content requirements;
- Lead all technical SEO projects and own related technical requirements;
- Supporting the development of the optimal owned media strategy and owned media activation for clients based on their budgets, target audience and KPIs;
- Performing Pre and Post Launch checks on client’s websites for maximum technical SEO impact;
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered to a professional standard and in line with the agreed timings;
- Own and evolve Checkout.com’s site architecture and navigation to drive organic growth and establish positive user experiences;
- Work to provide leadership and strategic insights on organic performance and growth to key cross-functional team members;
- Coaching, training, progression and personal development of all team members;
- Develop A/B testing strategy for our overarching SEO practices;
- Competitor Analysis of keywords and link profiles;
- Off-Page Link Building and Outreach to increase site authority.
Requirements:
- Proactive attitude, always on the front foot and going above and beyond for your clients and teammates;
- Creative thinker able to apply that approach to SEO campaigns and projects;
- Proven experience as a SEO Manager, SEM Manager or similar role;
- Ability to deliver results through SEO techniques;
- Extremely organised, you can plan, organise, and schedule workloads with client objectives in mind;
- Multi task, managing projects which are all different stages;
- Strong attention to detail, producing flawless documents;
- High-level proficiency in MS Excel;
- Great at problem-solving, you take problems in your stride and work to solve them with the resources available to you;
- Keen to take on responsibility from day 1;
- Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Semrush, Screaming Frog, AHrefs) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics);
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to customers in order to understand their pain points;
- Someone with initiative who will bring their own ideas;
- Analytical, with a head for numbers;
- Strong track record of creating and implementing ethical SEO strategies to reach client objectives across technical, content, and links.
