Technical Sales Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Account Management (25% of your time): Management of several of our existing and well-established accounts across the UK;
- Plan and execute direct marketing and sales activities to maintain and develop sales;
- Manage major accounts in accordance with agreed business plans to grow sales and overall growth;
- Ensure all KPI’s and sales processes are being achieved;
- Negotiate tenders and contract terms to meet both the client and organisation needs;
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills;
- Research and identify new sales opportunities wherever there is an electro-mechanical requirement;
- Work with the engineering and service centres to ensure projects and schedules are being delivered and met;
- Prepare and present to customers on products and services, meeting client’s requirements.
Requirements:
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team;
- Good understanding of optics and laser principles;
- Business development;
- Excellent negation, presentation and problem solving skills;
- Research (primary and secondary) and analysis skills;
- Working effectively in a startup company environment;
- Strong innovation, analytical and diagnostic skills;
- Multi-tasking and prioritizing in order to achieve tight deadlines;
- Ability to close sales where the opportunity to do so arises in customer relationships;
