Warehouse Shift Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the picking, loading and replenishment team;
- Developing current staff members;
- Reducing business waste / product damages;
- Reporting into the Operations Manager;
- Ensuring KPI’s are met through day to day completion of task;
- Supervising a team of around 20 employees and all warehouse operations;
- Day to day running of shift for receiving and returns or dispatch;
- Monitoring operational and site KPI’s, ensuring that they are met and improved upon;
- To ensure all meet with site Health & Safety requirements and all instructed safe working practices;
- Ensuring efficient planning, reviewing and communication of operational requirements and changes;
- Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements;
- Responsible for incident control;
- Continually reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency;
- Ensure your own activities are aligned with current business goals, being fully aware of how your performance can impact the bottom line;
- People management including the delivery of performance review, development and coaching.
Requirements:
- A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work;
- Strong IT Skills;
- Experience within an FMCG environment and within a unionised environment;
- Exposure to operating within a commercial environment sufficient to develop effective customer service and commercial understanding;
- Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate;
- Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem solving;
- Team working and customer focussed attitude.
