Our company is looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the picking, loading and replenishment team;
  • Developing current staff members;
  • Reducing business waste / product damages;
  • Reporting into the Operations Manager;
  • Ensuring KPI’s are met through day to day completion of task;
  • Supervising a team of around 20 employees and all warehouse operations;
  • Day to day running of shift for receiving and returns or dispatch;
  • Monitoring operational and site KPI’s, ensuring that they are met and improved upon;
  • To ensure all meet with site Health & Safety requirements and all instructed safe working practices;
  • Ensuring efficient planning, reviewing and communication of operational requirements and changes;
  • Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements;
  • Responsible for incident control;
  • Continually reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency;
  • Ensure your own activities are aligned with current business goals, being fully aware of how your performance can impact the bottom line;
  • People management including the delivery of performance review, development and coaching.

Requirements:

  • A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work;
  • Strong IT Skills;
  • Experience within an FMCG environment and within a unionised environment;
  • Exposure to operating within a commercial environment sufficient to develop effective customer service and commercial understanding;
  • Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate;
  • Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving;
  • Team working and customer focussed attitude.
