Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the maintenance and servicing of the fleet, ensuring vehicles comply with all statutory regulations;
- Maintain depot plant and equipment, ensuing all external contract maintenance is carried out in line with contractual agreements;

- Managing a team of 5 staff and up to 2 apprentices;
- Managing the maintenance and reliability of the machinery and infrastructure;
- Developing and delivering upgrades to engineering systems and processes;
- Induction of new employees;
- Quality checking;
- Develop, design and maintain procedures for the workshop;
- Organising holidays and shift cover;
- Supervising the maintenance of vehicles in workshop;
- Negotiating with suppliers and parts department;
- Indirect management of mechanics;
- Managing a small team of skilled CNC Machinists.
Requirements:
- Responsible for maintaining external supplier relationships;
- Previous management experience;
- Implementing safe working practices and security within the department;
- Ensuring the service and repair Technicians achieve their daily targets;
- Previous machinist experience beneficial (Haas, Hurco, Fadal);
- Good communication skills;
- Responsible for the daily control of the workshop to maintain a high level of productivity, quality and “right first time” repairs;
- Covering for the Service Manager in their absence;
- Engineering background.
