QA Tester Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a QA Tester to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in reviews, scrums and group meetings to identify area of improvement;
- Regression testing across all devices when necessary;
- Participate in daily standups;
- Undertake manual testing across all digital products;
- Conduct verification including functional, incremental system, end-to- end, integrations and regression types;
- Help to further develop automated testing capabilities;
- Analysis and contribution to technical test approach;
- Undertake automation testing across mobile platforms;
- Adopt BDD techniques;
- Create and execute test cases;
- Brilliant documentation;
- Define, write and maintain test plans.
Requirements:
- Experience of Exploratory Testing;
- Build, shape and align quality assurance within the team and more widely at Global;
- Drive the complete quality assurance engagement for each project, ensuring quality assurance best practices are followed;
- Knowledge of defect tracking;
- The ability to interact appropriately with departmental officers, vendor personnel and fellow team members;
- Staying up to date with the latest software testing strategies and tools;
- An understanding of Testing Methodology and processes with working experience in Agile methodology;
- Has good knowledge of SDLC (Software development lifecycle);
- Creating well-structured test plans and test cases;
- Familiarity with one or more bug tracking and test suites;
- Familiar with scrum agile principles, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence;
- Conduct error investigations using exploratory testing techniques;
- Estimating, prioritising, and coordinating testing activities;
- Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
- A degree in computer science would be desirable.
