Our company is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and documenting scope changes as well as variation order claims;
  • Presentation of designs for peer and stakeholder review;
  • Providing design input to the CAD drafting team and reviewing technical drawings;
  • Provide recommendations on equipment selection as part of the design and procurement process;
  • Coordinating the activities of various technical disciplines;
  • Engage with supplier and sub-contract chain to select vendors for project delivery;
  • Production of mechanical designs and drawings using 2D and 3D CAD, either as an individual, or by managing the work of others;
  • Support the Project Manager in the delivery of one or more projects;
  • Managing tendering, procurement and delivery of approved designs;
  • Co-ordinate with sub-contractors and direct staff as required to ensure project delivery in-line with works programme;
  • Review, prepare and submit detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to work activities commencing;
  • Monitor progress to ensure delivery in line with works programme, adjust workflows and rate as necessary to achieve or better completion date;
  • Manage delivery of materials in-line with works programme and progress on-site;
  • Managing both internal staff and external contract design and detailing effort;
  • Project scheduling, budgeting, planning and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal and written communication;
  • Full UK driver’s license;
  • Appropriate mechanical qualification;
  • IT Literate;
  • Experience working within building services on new build and installation projects;
  • CHP experience is desirable, but not essential;
  • Previous experience with project engineering;
  • SMSTS or SSSTS;
  • First-Aid;
  • Previous experience on water treatment sites;
  • H&S.
