Responsibilities:
- Presenting information to colleagues and customers;
- Performing hand stress calculations using standard methods and data sheets;
- Supervising teams of Engineers, planning and allocating workload effectively;
- Determining applied loads on components by interpretation of system drawings and specifications using classical methods or computer simulation tools;
- Determining fatigue life of components using classical Miners type calculations and computer simulation software;
- Translating specification and airworthiness requirements into qualification test procedures;
- Producing Finite Element Analyses of components and systems using ABAQUS software;
- Producing reports on analyses and tests to a standard sufficient for issue to Civil and Military Airworthiness Authorities.
