Setting Out Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Setting Out Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising between design engineers and the construction team to ensure plans and drawings are accurate and achievable;
- Setting out, levelling and surveying the site;
- Resolving any unexpected technical problems;
- Overseeing quality control;
- Monitoring health and safety;
- Planning and organising work efficiently to meet deadlines;
- Attending daily pre-works briefings;
- Assist in the supervising of sub – contractors on site;
- Accurate setting out/surveying;
- Assist senior engineer in ensuring all operations are carried out safely;
- Conduct quality control checks and build records.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
- Experience working with a recognised groundworks subcontractor;
- Valid CSCS card;
- Degree Qualified or HND, HNC in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering;
- Setting Out using Robotic EDM;
- Willing to get hands dirty but also deal with paper work and QA.
