Our company is looking for a Depot Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the efficient day-to-day operation of the business;
  • Work closely with EMR’s Commercial and Finance teams when assessing budgets, pricing and P&L activities;
  • Working closely with other Depots within the group;
  • Ensuring that high levels of service are maintained;
  • Ensuring Depot stock levels of hire equipment;
  • Manage visitors, customers, drivers and contractors when on site;
  • Ensuring optimum utilization of equipment;
  • Liaising with key accounts and full contact with the field sales team;
  • Hold regular sales and operation team meetings;
  • Manage all Workshop P&L/KPIs, Costs, Productivity and Compliance objectives;
  • Set targets, measure performance;
  • Supporting and leading a team of dedicated Operations and Administration staff;
  • Resource planning;
  • Ensure the depot is working in line with Health & Safety regulations and Industry legislation;
  • Ensuring Depot adheres to Health & Safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Sound commercial awareness;
  • Ability to prioritise according to the demands of a busy depot;
  • Experience as a Depot Manager within the construction/hire industry;
  • A strong manager of people, as it will be your responsibility to supervise a team of hire controllers, drivers, fitters and sales team;
