Our company is looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate resources and time are available for the application of systematic approach to Engineering Maintenance;
  • Ensure weekly maintenance review and planning meeting are routinely occurring and effective;
  • Responsible for all manufacturing maintenance activities across the site;
  • Agree preventative maintenance plans with manufacturing maintenance and operations;
  • Monitor plant operational efficiency and reliability identifying areas of under performance and implement plans to deliver improvements;
  • Audit CMMS (Computerised Maint. Management System) ensuring breakdowns/repairs are logged;
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policy at all times;
  • Play an active role in the business?s investment in new and additional equipment;
  • Lead the adoption of 5S working practices in the maintenance area and for all maintenance employees working across the business;
  • To lead the full introduction of an effective predictive, planned and preventative maintenance system;
  • Ensure that an agreed list of critical spares are stored in a logical, easily identifiable and accessible state and manner within budget;
  • Minimise disruption to building users;
  • Participation in an on call rota;
  • Upkeep of maintenance records, helpdesk reports and asset histories;
  • Work closely with the Head of Quality to consistently achieve agreed maintenance and breakdown response business KPI?s.

Requirements:

  • Time-served Electrical apprenticeship – advantageous;
  • Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology;
  • Electrical ability – essential;
  • A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and ability to lead a team of Engineers/ Operators under pressure;
  • PLC knowledge – desirable;
  • Experience with conveyors – essential;
  • Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC;
  • Maintenance Supervisory or Team Leader experience in a manufacturing or production industry – essential.
