Our company is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sales invoice database/source data;
  • Maintain accurate records of sub-contractors- updating insurance files, self-billing agreements and Construction Industry Scheme verification records;
  • To allocate gas and electricity contract costs;
  • Preparation of monthly payroll;
  • Create and send invoices;
  • Dealing with invoice queries;
  • Process AP invoices;
  • Supporting with the production of the month end management accounts;
  • Contracts and Work Order assistance;
  • Assisting the UK Accountant;
  • Identifying prepayments and recharges;
  • To undertake banking as required;
  • Processing employee expenses and car mileage;
  • Maintaining records and ensuring documents are filed correctly, ordering stationary and ad-hoc duties;
  • To apply control procedures as appropriate, contribute to the monitoring of the effectiveness and development of IT and other processing arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Skilled in the use of SAGE and Quickbooks would be desirable;
  • Retail experience is essential;
  • Highly analytical and logically minded graduate;
  • Experience of working in a similar finance environment;
  • Demonstrable attention to detail skills and ability to apply a methodology for ensuring high level of accuracy;
  • Knowledge of Payroll and CIS tax processes advantageous;
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent OR relevant experience;
  • Experience using Navision would be beneficial;
  • Numerate;
  • Able to work on own initiative;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Able to work independently and hit the ground running;
  • Purchase Ledger Support;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • A finance qualification or strong academics is essential.
