Postdoctoral Fellow Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with experimental teams at the Wellcome Sanger Institute working on single cell transcriptomics;
- Representing the team and the institute at HCA project meetings and international scientific conferences;
- Keeping up to date with new experimental and analytical developments in the field of single cell genomics;
- To implement and develop tools to analyse spatial gene expression data;
- Understanding the cellular landscape of the lung in health and disease;
- Using single cell analysis packages to analyse and interpret single cell gene expression and other single cell -omics data;
- Providing bioinformatics expertise for a range of research projects within the Teichmann lab;
- Writing high impact scientific papers for publications in the scientific literature.
Requirements:
- Experience of analysing complex data sets;
- Experience of statistical analyses;
- Experience of developing analytical pipelines;
- MSc in Computer Science, Bioinformatics or related field;
- Experience of running code in high performance computing environments;
- Experience of molecular biology/other biological fields.
