Our company is looking for a Senior Nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Safely storing, administering, ordering, recording & handling drugs;
- Working with the MDT to ensure that care provided is appropriate;
- Participate in supervision and training of new and existing staff;
- Adhering to the NMC Code and updating your professional knowledge;
- Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents;
- Complying with all legal and regulatory policies and procedures;
- Attend relevant staff meetings;
- Ensuring all Day staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home;
- Preparing, updating & reviewing individual care plans to meet individual’s needs;
- Participate in an on-call system to support the nurse in charge;
- Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover at every shift;
- Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans;
- Communicating effectively with residents, relatives, staff & visitors using Key Working system;
- Assist the Registered Care Manager with the responses to Provider audits in a timely manner;
- Provide safe and effective processes for the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of drugs.
Requirements:
- Venepuncture;
- End of life care and Verification of expected death;
- Training courses on coaching and development to promote leadership skills;
- And much more;
- Catheterisation skills;
- T34 Syringe Driver;
- Minimum 3 years’ nursing experience;
- Previous experience within a similar setting;
- You must be a qualified nurse – RGN – and have a valid NMC PIN;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Experience of working in a similar environment and role;
- Demonstrable experience of being a team player;
- Strong leadership and people management skills;
- Drive to take responsibility for personal learning and development;
- A focus on patient centred care.
