Our company is looking for a Senior Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely storing, administering, ordering, recording & handling drugs;
  • Working with the MDT to ensure that care provided is appropriate;
  • Participate in supervision and training of new and existing staff;
  • Adhering to the NMC Code and updating your professional knowledge;
  • Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents;
  • Complying with all legal and regulatory policies and procedures;
  • Attend relevant staff meetings;
  • Ensuring all Day staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home;
  • Preparing, updating & reviewing individual care plans to meet individual’s needs;
  • Participate in an on-call system to support the nurse in charge;
  • Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover at every shift;
  • Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans;
  • Communicating effectively with residents, relatives, staff & visitors using Key Working system;
  • Assist the Registered Care Manager with the responses to Provider audits in a timely manner;
  • Provide safe and effective processes for the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of drugs.

Requirements:

  • Venepuncture;
  • End of life care and Verification of expected death;
  • Training courses on coaching and development to promote leadership skills;
  • And much more;
  • Catheterisation skills;
  • T34 Syringe Driver;
  • Minimum 3 years’ nursing experience;
  • Previous experience within a similar setting;
  • You must be a qualified nurse – RGN – and have a valid NMC PIN;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience of working in a similar environment and role;
  • Demonstrable experience of being a team player;
  • Strong leadership and people management skills;
  • Drive to take responsibility for personal learning and development;
  • A focus on patient centred care.
