Our company is looking for a Chief Executive to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To represent Dance Base at national and international platforms, steering group meetings, and seminars;
  • To represent Dance Base and to make connections both Nationally and Internationally at Conferences, symposiums, Network Meetings and Festivals;
  • To undertake any other duties as may be required of the Chief Executive by the Board of Directors;
  • To be financially literate, manage and ensure reserves;
  • To utilise Board connections for enhancing reputation and potential fundraising;
  • To oversee the strategic development of the Dance Base Marketing and Communications plan, and all press and PR activities;
  • ability to commit up to 1 day a month, including: Chair CLES board meetings and any sub committees (once a quarter);
  • holding the position for at least 3 years;
  • Lead the successfully delivery of related grant funded and commissioned projects* including managing completion of all areas of compliance;
  • To promote the mission, aims, values and objectives of Age UK Plymouth (AUKP) as the public facing representative of the charity;
  • To ensure the charity fulfils all its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities;
  • To lead the business development plans for development of the charity in its purpose of supporting older people;
  • Maintain financial stability and identify innovative ways of ensuring funding;
  • Establish, develop and lead strong partnerships and collaborations by influencing and advocating for Living Sport strategic priorities;
  • Strategic business development – both concept and delivery.

Requirements:

  • An established public profile;
  • Experience in addressing global freedom of expression issues;
  • Knowledge of the civil liberties/human rights sector;
  • Knowledge of foreign languages;
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative working to achieve clear outcomes;
  • Excellent personal effectiveness and administration;
  • Leadership;

  • Successful track record in leading and manging an organisation including corporate planning, financial and people management;
