Data Centre Account Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Data Centre Account Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all compliance and standards are implemented across the site;
- Identify and recommend operational improvements to be implemented on site;
- Oversee scheduling of preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance and general maintenance with minimum disruption of building services;
- Review any service failures and produce incident reports when required;
- Recommend/implement improvements to the preventive maintenance programme on an on-going basis;
- Oversee all building systems and critical facilities equipment including fire/life safety, mechanical and electrical systems;
- Review quotations for the procurement of additional works within agreed authorised limits;
- Recruit, manage and develop site team;
- Devise technical enhancements to improve various aspects of building operations;
- Strategically plan and implement a critical and non critical engineering maintenance strategy for all properties in scope;
- Ensure compliance with latest legislation in terms of statutory maintenance, health & safety, and environmental management;
- Understand and utilize maximum capabilities of all operational systems, including BMS, CMMS, etc;
- Liaise with the Client Service Manager, Asset Management and Technical Operations;
- Maintain a motivated and engaged team;
- Set team targets and manage/monitor performance.
Requirements:
- Excellent client / vendor relationship skills;
- Clear Reporting Abilities;
- Time served Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Manager with a recognised qualification C&G/HNC;
- Sustainability Awareness;
- Strong IT Skills;
- Membership of an Engineering related professional body i.e. CIBSE/IEE;
- Proven track record working in the critical or data centre environment;
- A Health & Safety qualification (IOSH minimum or preferably NEBOSH);
- Strong technical background and understanding of critical systems;
- Strong financial understanding;
- Commercial awareness;
- Ability to effectively respond to complex inquiries or complaints from clients.
