Distribution General Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Distribution General Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and support the development of the regions strategy in line with the Business Unit strategy;
- Set planning profit targets;
- Build a useful network of external contacts to support business growth and ensure exposure to best practice;
- Drive delivery of organic growth with existing customers by increasing volume from existing contracts for existing sites in collaboration with the KAM;
- Build robust working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure first class operational performance which results in long term partnerships;
- Ensure that a best in class HSE performance is achieved within the sites and that a culture of safety in everything we do is embedded;
- Prepare annual ops budget;
- Create positive business relationships with partners and stakeholders, with full engagement and collaboration key to the business strategies;
- Responsible for budgetary control and KPI delivery for warehouse & distribution;
- Create a Health & Safety culture. In line with all legal policies and procedures. Stay up to date with all industry laws and procedures;
- Manage stakeholder relationships with the regional operational functions, colleagues within logistics sales;
- Personal development planning to highlight and support the management team and ensure they have the best tools to do so with their reports;
- Stock integrity ensures that Distribution Centre stock is accurately and meticulously recorded and held in line with procedure;
- Sets objectives through management delegation to increase the efficiency in output in all aspects of distribution;
- Accountable for the leadership and management of the Warehouse & Transport teams on a day-to-day basis and acts as a deputy for ROM when needed.
