Estate Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Estate Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Statutory compliance;
- Estate management and lettings;
- Ensuring appropriate security measures are taken for all vacant properties in their patch;
- Estate Management, by facilitating the planning, developing and implementation of the estate strategy and planner;
- Ensure statutory Health & Safety at all times inclusive of environmental compliance;
- Manage a team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and ensure works are carried out in line with statutory regulations;
- Health & safety compliance;
- Implement new strategies with the residents in mind;
- Regular liaison with Estates staff, subcontractors and Engineers;
- Manage and own service charge pack, service charge reconciliation and service charge wash up process. Including RICS Service Charge Code of Practice;
- Managing contractors;
- On-site management;
- Review current fire risk assessments and update / strengthen as required;
- Oversee Premises Improvement programme of works (currently valued at over £172K);
- Manage day to day building maintenance and statutory compliance by DLO and contract labour.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail with a commercial perspective;
- Working Pattern: 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday with 1 hr unpaid for lunch;
- You’ll have managed budgets and overall expenditure, working closely with the Property Managers;
- Excellent communication and customer management skills;
- Good attention to detail and reporting skills;
- The successful candidate must have at experience in a similar role within a high-end residential development or similar premium environment;
- Ideally MRICS qualified or part-qualification for (RICS, APM, IWFM or relevant professional association);
- Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and show good judgment under pressure;
- Experienced and capable at producing and managing service charge budgets, service charges, quarterly reviews and reconciliations;
- Familiar with the RICS code of practice for service charges.
