Factory Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Factory Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To control all aspects of the on-site operations, including production, logistics, quality, health and safety and internal maintenance;
- To control departmental expenditure within budget and review in line with site performance;
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed;
- Carry out HR related duties, such as monitoring performance and absence and carrying out both formal and informal corrective measures;
- Review procedure to ensure efficient and streamlined processes and ways of working;
- Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes;
- Manage the human and material resources;
- Oversee and deliver the full production process;
- Develop and direct detailed facility productivity improvement plans incorporating organisation design and key performance indicators;
- To direct all facets of the day to day manufacturing operations;
- To assist with the recruitment of new talent and pro-actively assist with staff retention and development of the existing workforce;
- Ensure customer satisfaction through corrective and preventative actions and the application of continuous product quality improvements;
- Ensure production staff enforce company policies and procedures, plant wide safety and security rules and employee rules of conduct;
- Integrate organisational changes and new processes;
- To lead, direct and develop the leadership team, consisting of production and manufacturing managers.
Requirements:
- Previous management experience;
- Excellent knowledge of POS/POP industry;
- Excellent knowledge of acrylic, woods, Metal, Print, etc;
- Flexibility is required due to the nature of the business;
- Reliable;
- Excellent Word & Excel skills;
- Good understanding of stock management;
- Strong written English and numeracy skills;
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience of people management responsibilities;
- Prior Warehouse and /or Managerial experience preferred;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Operational and commercial acumen at management level;
- Highly organised in production and planning skills;
- Proven previous work experience within a similar role;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
