Our company is looking for a Head Of Care to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the resident’s nutritional and hydration needs;
  • Staff training;
  • Delivering hands on care when required;
  • Create, manage and amend risk assessments, both at a strategic and operational level and to ensure that staff are following procedures;
  • Communicate on a regular basis with the Manager on events that occurred in their absence;
  • Work with the Head of Estates and Compliance to ensure that all health and safety issues are promptly identified and appropriately addressed;
  • Attend events and conferences and represent the client as required;
  • Manage budgets and source staffing in a manner that is cost effective and meets regulatory requirements;
  • Ensure that key information is effectively communicated both within own staff group and the client as required;
  • Act as a role model for all staff, demonstrating and ensuring professionalism, good manners and customer service at all times;
  • Report to management on any items that need repair or maintenance and ensure these are followed up;
  • Promote professional, clinical training & care & support planning within the home to maintain the health, welfare and wellbeing of the residents;
  • Staff supervision and appraisals;
  • Liaise with parents and other stakeholders and ensure that all complaints and concerns are dealt with appropriately;
  • Ensure that staff are effectively recruited, inducted supported and performance managed.

Requirements:

  • Must have developed effective leadership teams in previous work;
  • Leading by example to ensure consistently high levels of care are maintained;
  • Have 2 suitable references (professional and/or educational);
  • Staff Training;
  • Delivering hands on care when required;
  • Be prepared to complete an application for a full DBS disclosure;
  • Have sound clinical knowledge & strong leadership qualities;
  • Have a good standard of verbal and written English (or be prepared to further their English skills);
  • Staff supervision and appraisal;
  • Have resilience and stamina;
  • Excellent teamwork skills;
  • Promote professional, clinical training & care & support planning within the home to maintain the health, welfare and wellbeing of the residents;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Manage, maintain and oversee all care plan reviews and medication audits.
