Maintenance Engineering Supervisor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Engineering Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage an extensive PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) programme;
- Identify and development of opportunities to reduce costs and waste from the business;
- You will organise and schedule the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering activity;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Support the company’s drive towards continual improvement;
- Control CAPEX projects (up to the value of approx. £1.10 million);
- Ensure accurate and concise maintenance records are kept for all operational plant and equipment;
- Motivate, coach and develop Shift technicians to achieve the agreed level of competence;
- Responsible for the motivation and development of staff;
- In this diverse role, you will be responsible for the supervision of approx 6 Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers;
- Allocate and controlling work loads and PPM’s (Planned Preventative Maintenance);
- Optimise shift performance.
Requirements:
- Have strong leadership experience;
- At least a HNC in an Engineering discipline and have gained several years experience in industrial maintenance and engineering project management;
- Working independently, you have a high degree of initiative with the ability to facilitate and influence others with your communication skills;
- Hold a formal Craft apprenticeship with engineering qualification at ONC/HNC (or equivalent);
- Highly motivated and influential;
- Have an understanding of recognized best practices for maintenance processes;
- Experience of managing / supervising a team of Engineers;
- Must be able to demonstrate high level of PLC literacy;
- Be capable of developing instrumental relationships with your customers (the people who operate the production process);
- Educated to a minimum of HNC in an Electrical / Engineering discipline.
