Responsibilities:

  • Increase the referral numbers from external supporters;
  • Implement plans and forecasts with our Investment Directors;
  • Implement the business development plan focusing primarily in London and the South East;
  • Work effectively with the External Adviser Business Development team and Punter Southall Wealth were relevant to share best practice;
  • Work effectively with Marketing to deliver collateral, communications and events;
  • Improve new client acquisition and client retention by working closely with external supporters;
  • Deliver within a compliant framework and adhere to corporate and regulatory quality standards;
  • Input into the Proposition (service/product) development process by providing market feedback.

Requirements:

  • Ability to engage effectively at every level of firms, organisations and associations to board level;
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships;
  • 2:1 Degree and relevant industry qualifications an advantage;
  • Proven experience as a Sales and Business Development Director or a relevant role (5-10 years) Consultative selling;
  • Committed to maintaining the highest professional standards and ongoing personal development;
  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude;
  • Expert understanding (at least five years) of the UK financial services advice market;
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent written and oral communicative ability;
  • Proven experience of diverse industries and products;
  • Exceptional communication skills;
  • Leadership, competence, credibility, empathy and resilience;
  • Highly effective in a team environment but with a demonstrable track record as a self-starter;
  • Systematic approach to planning and execution of professional responsibilities;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce);
  • Strong existing network of supporters an advantage.
