Our company is looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with PR agency;
  • Social media (idea generation, scheduling, keeping track of competitor activities);
  • Obtaining sign off from the client on PR and marketing activity;
  • Compile a social events calendar for the members and promoting this to the membership via email, social media and in-house posters/banners;
  • Organise Fam Trips and client events as and when required by the business;
  • Develop strong & long-term relationships with clients, industry partners and internal colleagues;
  • Regularly conduct outbound calling activity to lapsed, existing and potential new clients;
  • Identify new contacts and respond to sales opportunities in order to maximise revenue;
  • Take ownership of developing and maintaining an on-going database of existing and potential new clients;
  • Ownership of on-going management of an established UK and European customer base;
  • Assisting with marketing materials (e.g. liaising with Videographer / Photographer);
  • Generate and develop sales leads and contact potential clients to build business relationships;
  • Produce exhibition and conference yearly schedule;
  • Attend exhibitions to promote the venue;
  • Provide guidance for the development of new product lines and corresponding routes to market.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Hospitality Sales essential;
  • Proven track record of proactively generating new business and converting business in a target driven environment;
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans;
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite would advantageous;
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience of using a computer reservations system, ideally but not essentially Kx (Kinetic Solutions);
  • Demonstrable ability to inspire and motivate others and to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Highly self-motivated with ability to drive change;
  • Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint;
  • Highly motivated and results orientated;
  • 3 years sales experience;
  • Degree in electrical engineering, marketing, business or other relevant subject;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of marketing and promotions in the event/conference industry.
