Technical Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all internal and external site audits;
- Ensure all products supplied are fit for purpose and meet customer requirements;
- Carry out regular risk assessments of suppliers and take appropriate action to support due diligence;
- Root cause analysis for any quality issues highlighted through QC or complaints;
- Support customer services, managing customer complaints and investigations;
- Support the sourcing of new suppliers and ingredients;
- Oversee reporting and actions of non-compliance;
- All KPI’s are linked to a Business Balance Scorecard which underlines and integrates all KPI’s and business objectives across our client;
- To act as Food Safety team leader;
- Ensuring that we are using approved suppliers and that TACCP and VACCP studies of our supplier base is adequately in place;
- Responsible for technical leadership and ensure that all technical service commitments are met;
- Managing contractors;
- Ensuring site polices are being maintained;
- Compliance to BRC standards;
- Ensure Quality incidents are fully investigated and root causes found to ensure permanent fixes are introduced and effectively communicated.
Requirements:
- Monitoring and maintaining all KPI’s;
- Technical compliance be it regulatory, 2nd party or 3rd party led;
- Strong experience and knowledge of BRC accreditation and implementation;
- Knowledge of the following standards: ASME and BSEN;
- Proven experience in cosmetic formulation development and innovation;
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering;
- Experience within one of the following sectors: Energy, Steel, Nuclear or Power;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the site strategy and plans in line with business strategy;
- Experience of working in a technical team;
- Encourage teamwork and a supportive environment in order to improve business performance;
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Management system;
- Have a sound understanding of the HACCP and TACCP;
- Point of contact for all retailer communication and visits;
- Experience of working on a food manufacturing site;
- Manage the Technical budget.
