Our company is looking for a Assembler to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Working to targets;
- Use of crimping hand tools/machines;
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements;
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies;
- Follow technical drawings;
- Cabling / crimping and wiring within some positions;
- Sanding & polishing;
- Using test equipment to ensure what you’ve made works;
- General high standard of engineering ability;
- Checking the quality of what you’ve built;
- Some of the roles will require soldering;
- Observe high level of cleanliness;
- Following instructions to build the items;
- Fit and assemble to Aerospace standards.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a heavy industry environment;
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;
- Any experience of soldering would be advantageous;
- Immediate Start;
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team;
- Have excellent attention to detail and be methodical in your approach to work;
- Experience of working within a production/manufacturing environment;
- Based in on an industrial estate in Poole which is accessible by public transport;
- Experience of hand assembly a distinct advantage;
- Ability to read written instructions;
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance;
- Free onsite parking;
- Confident in the use of small hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches etc.);
- Can work well within a team or under your own initiative;
- Able to work with small and large metals.
