Mechanical Assembler Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Check kit for correct parts and refer to stores or supervision over any discrepancies;
- Operate overhead travelling gantry crane and provide correct slinging procedure to load and transport large items (training provided);
- Must have used hand tools;
- View priority build board and select kit of parts for next assembly;
- Provide support for requirements of ISO 9001;
- Previous experience of assembly;
- Establish assembly operations from parts list, working instructions and drawings;
- be able to work in a team;
- To support the implementation of ABS, the continuous improvement process;
- Grind parts to finished size;
- To carry out production and operations related tasks set by the Production Manager.
Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 kgs;
- Calm under pressure;
- ability to prioritise;
- Good manual dexterity;
- Ability to interpret and implement instructions and drawings;
- Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures;
- Assembly and Fitting;
- Good attention to detail;
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment;
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 kgs;
- Experience with building assemblies;
- Basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings;
- Ability to work efficiently to deadlines;
- Have the ability to work to tight tolerances using small parts;
- Working to engineering drawings.
