Our company is looking for a Sales Representative to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of new business and servicing of existing accounts;
- Growing the area through visiting customers and building on existing relationships;
- Understand the different states strategies, nuances, and regulations;
- Forecast sales, sales growth and other related goals as determined; assist with preparation of sales budget for assigned account(s);
- Selling our full range of products and developing strong product knowledge;
- Visit construction sites & projects in the local area making own appointments and organising own workload & diary;
- To abide by the current Safety, Health and Environment policy giving priority to the safety of staff and customers at all times;
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts;
- Aqquiring new customers;
- Lead Generation;
- Client management, attending frequent meetings with clients;
- Generating and identifying business leads and opportunities by identifying prospects;
- Meeting and discussing with potential clients to understand their needs and offering the best products for their needs;
- Empathise with customers on any complaints regarding sales and service and refer to Sales Manager if necessary;
- Representing our clients in a proffesional manner.
Requirements:
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability communicate across different levels of an organization;
- Understands the importance of customer needs, whether internal or external, focuses on responding to them and develops relationships in turn;
- Having working knowledge of basic computer operating systems (Microsoft Office);
- Bachelor’s degree, four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- A team player that works with others, relates to people and engages them;
- Natural consultative sales approach;
- Provide customer service and support to existing trade customers;
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy;
- Must hold a clean driving license;
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems;
- First class communicator, (language skills would be an advantage);
- Full clean driving licence;
- Visit construction sites & projects in the local area making own appointments and organising own workload & diary;
- Good telephone manner;
- Liaise with transport, accounts, purchasing & marketing departments.
