Sales Development Rep Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sales Development Rep to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage sensitive customer and prospect information;
- Quickly and expertly navigate the internet, including utilization of appropriate search techniques;
- Field inbound calls from prospective customers generated from targeted marketing programs;
- Work effectively with and assist others in a team environment;
- Build profiles of prospective clients using publicly available information;
- Acquire and leverage investigation or probing skills to uncover sales opportunities;
- Work campaigns consisting of pre-qualified calls or cold calls and securing appointments for our sales representatives;
- Update client and prospect information in our CRM systems;
- Ensure client and prospect satisfaction by determining needs and transferring calls to the appropriate party for resolution;
- Research and qualify new business opportunities in accordance with approved sales management guidelines.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; business or marketing major preferred;
- Ability to quickly and expertly navigate the internet, including utilization of appropriate search techniques;
- Ability to work effectively with and assist others in a team environment;
- Experience working in a fast paced competitive environment is preferred;
- Experience with CRM systems is a plus;
- Strong time management skills;
- Strong detail orientation with the ability to follow defined processes;
- Ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment;
- Expertise of cloud-based products especially IaaS or PaaS;
- Key attention to detail to produce reports and analytics of current lead status;
- Proactive, organised and an ability to work without constant supervision;
- An interest in cloud technologies;
- Excellent time management / planning skills;
- Experience within the cloud or technology industry.
